PRINCIPLE

A rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of influenza type A and B nucleoprotein antigens in nasal swabs or throat swabs. This kit is intended to be used as an aid in the diagnosis of influenza A and influenza B virus in nasal swab,throat swabs or nasal aspirate specimens.



Specimen Preparation

1. Add 8 drops of buffer (approximately 0.5ml) into the extraction tube,and put it on the workstation.
2. The swab was inserted into an extraction tube containing 0.5ml buffer.The solution was extruded from the swab and reabsorbed. Leave the swab in the extraction tube for one minute.
3. Pinch the extraction tube with fingers and remove the solution from the swab as far as possible. The extracted solution will be used as test specimen.
4. Insert a dropper tip into the specimen extraction tube tightly.




TEST PROCEDURE
Allow the test device and specimens to equilibrate to room temperature(15-30°Cor 59-86°F)prior to testing

1. Remove the test device from the sealed pouch.
2. Reverse the specimen ex-traction tube, Holding the specimen extraction tube upright,transfer2drops(approximately 120ul)to the specimen well(S) of the test device,then start the timer. See illustration below.
3. Wait for colored lines to appear. Interpret the test results in 15 minutes.Do not read results after 20 minutes.
